Kevin Garnett is a Douchebag

Yeah.
Hey everybody. Happy New Years. Obviously, this blog has taken the wrong turn in term of the list of priorities I have. I've neglected it, but there's this issue that I have to write about. I don't care who reads it, I don't care if no one reads it. There's something that has to be said, something that is on the tip of everyone's tongue, something that everyone knows, but doesn't want to really say it in the NBA world: Kevin Garnett is a douchebag. This notion was re-emphasized early in 2013, late in Garnett's career as an NBA player. The veteran Garnett has always been known to be a problem starter on the court, taking things too far, too often. Yet, he's given a pass, people respect his game, his passion. Often overlooked is the fact that he is the POSTER CHILD for bad sportsmanship. Like Demarcus Cousins is the poster child for immaturity, Kevin Garnett is the poster child for taking it too far on the court. It's been well documented, and I'm tired of everyone putting this on Carmelo Anthony. Yes, Carmelo overreacted, he put his team in a bad situation, he let it get to his head, he cost his team two losses (Boston, Indiana). He should know better. But that's besides the point. I'm writing this post not to condemn Carmelo, or to justify his actions. I am  writing this post to remind everyone, with every single example I can think of, that Kevin Garnett is a dick, a douche, an asshole on the court. He is "the biggest jackass in sports" .
On Tuesday, Kevin Garnett, allegedly, said Carmelo's wife, La La Vazquez, "tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios." Consequently, Carmelo, father of LaLa's two children, didn't take this too kindly. In fact, Walt Clyde Frazier, Hall of Famer, Top 50 player of all time, someone who has never received a Technical in the NBA, said something along the lines that he's surprised that "Carmelo didn't hit Kevin Garnett, I would have." That says a lot when someone who was one of the most docile and controlled players in the NBA's history makes a statement like that.
But this isn't the first time (god no!), that Kevin's said something along these lines. Look not too far back into the past, when Kevin Garnett called Charlie Villanueva a "cancer patient". In November 2010, Charlie Villanueva and Garnett got into a little war of worlds after Garnett fouled him hard. Villanueva has a skin condition where he does not grow any hair on his body. This was obviously something Garnett picked up and, trying to get into Charlie's head, called him a "cancer patient". This was confirmed when Charlie Villanueva actually tweeted that Kevin Garnett called him that. Kevin Garnett has no problem making fun of cancer patients on the court. Great.
If you still think that what he says on the court is okay, then this might change your mind.
NOTE: This is an unsubstantiated rumor and should be treated as such
On May 9, 1999, Kevin Garnett's Timberwolves played Tim Duncan's Spurs on Mother's Day. As Tim Duncan was shooting free throws, Kevin Garnett hit him with these words, "Happy Mother's Day MOTHERF*****". Now, this doesn't seem that bad. In fact, it seems kind of playful. Until, you understand that when Tim Duncan was celebrating his 14th birthday, his Mother died of breast cancer. To make it worse, it's not like Garnett didn't know. This was well documented before the game, as the media was hyping up a huge game by Tim Duncan to celebrate his Mother's life. Kevin Garnett used this as a way to get in Tim Duncan's head. Tim Duncan is one of the nicest guys in the league. He didn't deserve that.

Finally, here's a couple videos to show you that Kevin Garnett is a douchebag.

Kevin Garnett is an asshole. So much of an asshole that I had to come out of my Blog Coma and write about it.
